What happens in a reiki session?Your reiki practitioner will place their hands lightly over your body and an energy transfer will occur. During this time, their hands may feel warm or tingly. Your reiki practitioner will maintain each hand position until they feel the energy has stopped flowing. When a body receives reiki energy, it is like having a light to make the body aware of the energy that is not serving it. You practitioner does not decide what needs to be released or when, the wisdom of the body does. Once the body has chosen what it is ready to address, it can systematically release the stored energy at a cellular level connected with the imbalance. How does a distant reiki session work?Distant reiki can be sent to anyone, anywhere, at any time - but permission must be asked or received in some way. A remote healing session can be carried out in a variety of ways. Your practitioner may use a proxy, visualisation, or reiki projection to send reiki energy to you. A time will be agreed upon beforehand, so all you have to do is sit or lie down (with the intention to receive reiki healing) and allow reiki energy to flow to you. The energy transfer in a remote session is just as powerful as if they were delivered directly with the hands in person.
What reiki treatments do you offer? Both in-person and distant reiki treatments are offered. What is the setting?A quiet setting where you are not disturbed is always desirable. Some of our reiki healers have a dedicated space for sessions and are experienced in creating that space when making house calls. For a distance reiki session we suggest that you create a peaceful environment, whether that is going outside and finding a park bench in the sun, or sitting under a tree. Are there any side effects?A reiki treatment will usually leave a person feeling relaxed and uplifted. However, every now and then, a person will experience what is known as a healing crisis. Toxins stored in the body are released into the bloodstream as a person's vibration rises, where they are filtered by the liver and kidneys and removed from the system. When this happens, a person may experience a headache, stomach ache, or weakness. If this occurs, it is recommended that you drink more water, eat lighter meals, and get more rest. This is a good sign because the body is cleansing as part of the healing process. Other signs and symptoms of a healing crisis?- Body aches and pains - Headache- Fatigued- Chills- Sweating or flushing- Diarrhoea
What happens if you fall asleep during your reiki treatment?True recovery and healing occurs when you are relaxed, allowing reiki to flow more effectively.
